While we may be able to visit Mars sooner than we might expect, it is still a bit too far to take your class on a fieldtrip, unless you have an in with Ms. Frizzle. So while we wait for science to catch up with us, I have created this virtual field trip to allow kids to explore mars.
This field trip allows students to take control of a virtual version of NASA's Mars rover, Curiosity to learn about and explore Mars.
Students will start by learning how to control Curiosities and the cameras, sensors, and tools the rover has. Then, after exploring the landing site, students will guide Curiosity on it's journey across Mars learning about where it stopped and what it saw along the way.
This is sure to be a fieldtrip they remember! Get your copy of this virtual fieldtrip by clicking
